Gifts and Good Deeds in Memory

"The Master has told us that gifts and good deeds done in memory of those who have passed on, are most helpful to the development of their souls in the realms beyond".(From a letter written on behalf of Shoghi Effendi to an individual believer, December 10, 1952 Lights of Guidance pg. 204)

Performing a service in memory of a loved one who has passed on can become a vehicle of healing for yourself as well as benefiting the soul of the deceased.

Another website you may wish to explore for a service project is Seeds of Peace.

Forlora encourages participation in community/world projects that focus on the betterment of humankind and provide links as a resource option for you to explore. We do not endorse any of the projects, but do try to add those links that we feel promotes education and empowerment for our human family.

We completed 10 handmade newborn receiving blankets and bags for birth kits for Haiti women to provide rudimentary supplies for birth. The birthing kits contained plastic bag to create a clean surface, a bar of soap, alcohol swabs, string, homemade receiving blanket for newborn, etc. Haiti women are being trained in basic birthing skills as medical assistance is scarce and to lower the mortality rate and sepsis.
